Why does the availability date for pre-orders sometimes change?

When an item opens for pre-order, we include our best estimate of the availability date.

We will always do our best to meet this date. However sometimes production and shipping schedules change due to factors outside our control, which means we need to update the timing accordingly.

This does sometimes happen with short or little notice. It can be due to adverse weather conditions at a port, industrial action (strikes or lockouts) at factories, ports or freight carriers.

Our own quality control often delays schedules if the pieces haven't been finished to our satisfaction. We travel in person to the factories to oversee and approve each single statue and we are very picky.

So while we understand that these delays can be frustrating, we do hope you appreciate that we shouldn't hurry up at the expense of quality.
